dc.description	The Spanish educational politics in Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Philippines from 1838 o 1898 had a specific character according to the administrative situation of these territories. But in any way the curriculum established was discriminatory with regard to the metropolis. In Cuba, the influence of creóle oligarchy was reflected on the contents of some geographical and historical programs, which show a different image of the past from that in Spain. In the Philippines the importance of the religious orders controbuted to gine a peculiar character to the teaching plans for native people.<br>La política educativa española en Cuba, Puerto Rico y Filipinas entre 1838 y 1998 tuvo un carácter específico de acuerdo con la situación administrativa de estos territorios. Sin embargo, el curriculum establecido no fue necesariamente discriminatorio respecto a la metrópoli. En Cuba, la influencia de la oligarquía criolla se refleja en los contenidos de algunos programas de geografía e historia, que muestran una imagen del pasado diferenciada de España. En Filipinas el peso de las órdenes religiosas contribuyó a dar un carácter peculiar a los planes de estudios destinados a la enseñanza de la población indígena.
