dc.description Pesquisa sobre a formação que o Curso de Habilitação para o Magistério em nível de segundo grau vem proporcionando ao futuro professor para interagir com um alunado que se diferencia do ponto de vista étnico-racial. Formação aqui entendida como possibilidade de discutir temas que dêem aos professorandos subsídios para refletirem sobre questões que dizem respeito às relações étnico-raciais e seus desdobramentos e, sobretudo, como meio de capacitá-los a transmitir aos seus futuros alunos uma atitude de respeito para com diferenças raciais e culturais. Para tanto, foram focalizadas três dimensões do curso: currículos, livros didáticos de quatro disciplinas e professores que lecionam essas disciplinas. Investigou-se também o tratamento dispensado ao tema em uma revista destinada ao professor, mas também utilizada nos cursos de formação.<br>This article presents the results of a study on the training that the Course for Teacher Qualification at the Secondary Level has been providing to future teachers for interacting with students who are ethnically and racially different. Training is understood here as the opportunity to discuss themes that provide for future teachers materials to reflect on the issues of ethnic and racial relations, and above all, as a means to enable them to transmit an attitude of respect for racial and cultural difference. To this end, three dimensions of the course were focussed upon: curriculum, didactic books in four disciplines and the professors who teach these materials. The treatment given to the theme in a magazine for teachers, also used in the training courses, was studied as well.
