dc.description O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar dimensões do repertório de competência social de alunos de início e término do curso de Psicologia e verificar se eventuais deficits são acentuados ou superados ao longo da formação acadêmica. Aplicou-se um questionário com 13 situações críticas de interação social em relação às quais o aluno deveria indicar: o grau de incidência da situação em sua experiência, o grau de incomodo produzido, a emissão (ou não) da resposta indicadora de competência social sugerida para a situação e a satisfação ou insatisfação com a resposta emitida. Os resultados evidenciaram um padrão amplo de semelhanças e bastante restrito de diferenças entre alunos de início e término do curso em todas as dimensões, exceto na de incômodo, com implicações para outras pesquisas.<br>This study aimed to evalue some dimensions of the social competence among students from first and last stages of a course of Psychology in order to verify if possible deficits were increased or surpassed along the academic graduation. It was applyed a questionnaire with 13 social interaction critical situations for wich the student would have to indicate: the ocorrence degree in her (his) experience, the discomfort degree, the performing or not performing a response indicative of social competence, suggested to the situation, and the satisfaction or no satisfaction with the performed:response. The results showed a large pattern of similarities and a quite restricted pattern of differences in all evalued dimensions, except in discomfort, with implications to research and to the fitness of curriculum of Psychology concerning the needs of student background.
