<div align="justify">Por que e para que falar em beleza? E por que fazê-lo quando se propõe a falar em educação? O que há de entrelaço entre uma coisa e outra (se é que há algum)? Expor um tema deste, em que se pretende que a beleza e a educação dêem-se as mãos, justamentequando se vivencia a in-sensibilização do homem contemporâneo, incapaz de se compadecer com o que lhe acontece no entorno, ensimesmado que está, é uma tentativa de puxar o olhar para além do que se apresenta como fato inquestionável e implacável, como se somente um caminho estivesse disponível. Avistando outros percursos, para além dos já conhecidos e ditados, vendo-os com olhos estreantes, reconhecendo que o homem tem necessidade de beleza e reconhecendo que ela deve ser satisfeita, “resgataríamos a alma, percebendo que aquilo que acontece com ela é menos dado do que feito – feito por nosso trabalho com ela no mundo real, ao fazer com que o mundo real reflita a necessidade de beleza da alma” (HILLMAN, 1993, p. 127). Se é sobre omundo que se agirá, a educação – formadora humana – é um dos loci desta ação, e a aula – o habitat do professor (PEREIRA, 1996, p. 59) – um momento em que a beleza pode ser experienciada. Porque se experienciar o mundo, ser sensível a ele, é permitir que algo nos aconteça e não simplesmente aconteça no mundo (LARROSA, 2001). Aeducação deveria ser o lugar em que o elogio à beleza fosse possível, em que experiências não fossem destruídas ou mecanizadas, mas encarnadas pelos sujeitos.<br><br>Abstract Why talk about beauty, and for what? And why do it when the proposal is talk abouteducation? What do both subjects share in common, if any? Exposing such theme which suggests that beauty and education should walk together in a time when the contemporary man is living desensitized, unaware of his surroundings, and unwilling to react is an effort to look beyond what presents itself as the only available and viablepath. To view alternate paths beyond the already known, and looking upon them with fresh eyes, recognizing that man has a need of beauty and that this need must be satisfied, “we would rescue the soul, perceiving that which happens to it is more done than given – done by our work with it in the real world, in making the real world reflectthe soul’s need for beauty” (HILLMAN, 1993, p. 127). If in upon the real world one will act, education – which forms the human being – is one of the loci of this action, and the class – the habitat of the teacher (PEREIRA, 1996, p. 59) – a moment in which beauty can be experienced. Because to experience the world, sensible to it, is to allow something to occur to ourselves, and not simply to the world (LARROSA, 2001). Education should be the place where an ode to beauty would be possible, in which experiences would not be destroyed or mechanized, but incarnated in ourselves.</div> |
