dc.description It has been widely agreed and proved that writing is the most difficult skill for language instructors to teach and for L2 learners to master, being even referred at as the “ Cinderella of the four skills ”. The teaching-learning process becomes even more difficult when the language instructor has to deal with a mixed-ability class. The purpose of our paper is to provide an example of how this challenge can be overcome in the Business English class by means of the genre-based approach to writing.
