OBJETIVO: demostrar que las universidades pueden asumir la educación a distancia como una modalidad académica regular sobre la base de la incorporación del uso de las herramientas que las tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones ofrecen, constituyendo las plataformas virtuales una de las preferentes para tal propósito. DESARROLLO: se presentó la experiencia en la realización de cursos de la disciplina Estadística en Salud correspondiente a la carrera Tecnología de la Salud, perfil Gestión de Información en Salud del curso para trabajadores en la modalidad semipresencial, a través del Aula Virtual de la Salud, componente de la Universidad Virtual de la Red Telemática de Salud (Infomed), como espacio principal en su ejecución. CONCLUSIONES: se destacó la necesidad de un equilibrio entre lo virtual y lo presencial para que el proceso docente sea satisfactorio.<br>AIM: to show that universities may assume distance education as a regular academic modality on the basis of the addition of tools offered by the information and communication technologies. Virtual platforms are one of the preferred for this purpose. DEVELOPMENT: the experience obtained in the Health Statistics courses corresponding to the Health Technology career, Health Information Management profile of the course for workers in the semi-presence modality, through the Health Virtual Classroom, component of the Virtual University of the Telematic Health Network (Infomed), was presented as a main space in its execution. CONCLUSIONS: the need of a balance between the virtual and the presence is emphasized to achieve a satisfactory teaching process. |
