dc.description	The topicality of the article is conditioned by the introduced State standards of the third generation for secondary vocational education (SVE), and the increased requirements to professional competence and professional qualities of the graduates of a secondary vocational school. The scientific interest in this theme is based on the effect of extracurricular activities on the dynamics of professional growth of SVE students, changes in public opinion on the graduates and new requirements to education and professional competence, as well as professional and personal qualities. The specific feature of the work is the methodological aspect of extracurricular activities that serves to more fundamental investigation of the structure of such activities. The article considers the role of extracurricular activities in formation and dynamics of professionally important qualities and general competence of students in SVE formed during extracurricular activities (Realization of the Program “Patriotic Education”). The author offers to interpret the concept of extracurricular activities in terms of professional development of SVE students. “Extracurricular activities” is an active interaction of subjects beyond the frameworks of educational environment, effectively addressing training and educational challenges in formation of professional and personal qualities.
