dc.description Analisa-se neste artigo o trabalho com um texto que relata o histórico da construção do conceito "fotossíntese", lido por alunos do curso de Ciências Biológicas, em que se solicitou o destaque daquilo que julgaram mais interessante no texto. Tomando a leitura como prática discursiva e mediante as respostas fornecidas, foi possível observar manifestações em relação ao desenvolvimento da ciência, no que se refere ao tempo para sua construção, à interação entre os conhecimentos, à relação com a tecnologia, à simplicidade do pensamento.<br>It is analyzed in this article the work with a text which describes the construction of the concept "photosynthesis", read by students from the Biological Sciences course, who were requested to highlight what they deemed more interesting in the text. The reading is taken as a discursive practice and through the answers given by the students it was possible to observe events in relation to the development of science, in what regards to the time needed for its construction, the interaction of different knowledges, the relationship with technology, the simplicity of thought.
