dc.description The article, based on the results of a comprehensive survey conducted in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), reveals the specific interaction of traditional and innovative in the conjugal relationship of indigenous peoples of the North-East of the country. The article describes the causes of conflict in the process of transformation of family relations, the changes in roles, the importance of family values and the degree of belonging to an extended family.
