dc.description This research aims at reflecting the opininons of the contract teachers on the contract teaching application. Besides, it aims at determining the events experienced in contract teaching application by contract teachers and the impacts of these events on their motivation and satisfaction. The research was carried out with qualitative research methods and procedures. It has been patterned with factualism. Of purposive sampling methods, criterion sampling method has been employed. The participants are five female and five male contracted teachers who work in İkizce district of Ordu. The teaching experience of the participants varies between 56 and 1035 days. As a data collection instrument, a semistructured interview protocol has been used.Interviews were recorded by sound recorders. A 312-minute interview was made in this research. Each transcript was analyzed word by word and sentence by sentence and was coded. In the coding process, generally the words used by the participants to express their opinions were selected. Afterwards, the similarities and differences among the participants were demonstrated by reviewing the transcript analyses of all the participants thoroughly. In the light of the codes obtained from the transcripts, the most frequently mentionedcategories and the least frequently mentioned themes were determined. The data obtained in the research were described clearly and systematically, and then the descriptions were explained and commented on.
