The article deals with social time in relation to the formation of future scenarios. Presented the conceptual aspects of the correlation factor of social time, and alternative. It is shown that actually there are a limited number of alternatives to social time. The importance and necessity of a choice the social subject of one of existing and quite real possibilities reveals. It is underlined that in social processes the role of random factors (that is just characteristic for the analytical approach to processes from a position of social time) is great enough. Purpose. To expose the role of factor of alternativeness in social time Methods of realization of work: methods of analysis of the systems, unity historical and logical, comparativist method. Results: it is certain on results research, that really exists the limited number of alternatives of social time on that social development can go after a crisis situation in society. It is in this connection necessary to take into account difficult integral organization of man, because difficult enough to predict, what choice a social subject will do in one or another moment or social time domain, because a similar choice in a great deal will depend both on subjective terms and from the objective terms of social reality.
