dc.description	Se citaron algunos logros de las ciencias de la salud, tanto a escala internacional como en el ámbito cubano, cuyos momentos de ocurrencia han quedado como fechas memorables para la historia de toda la humanidad. Se tomó como paradigma de estos acontecimientos el mes de noviembre, a modo de introducción para pormenorizar ciertos elementos del doloroso hecho del 27 de noviembre de 1871, cuando fueron injustamente fusilados ocho estudiantes que entonces cursaban la carrera médica y que se recuerda cada año como una triste efemérides. Se tomó como punto de referencia el contexto histórico en el que tuvo lugar este luctuoso suceso para brindar algunos detalles acerca de sus antecedentes y de sus momentos finales.<br>Some achievements of health sciences in the world and in Cuba that have remained as memorable dates for the history of all the mankind are mentioned. November was taken as a paradigm of these events and as an introduction to describe in detail some elements of this dolorous event occurred on november 27th, 1871, when eight medical students were unjustly executed, a day that is celebrated every year with sorrow. We took as a point of reference the historical context in which this woeful event took place to offer some details of its background and of its final moments.
