Operations Research is a specialized basic course of economics and management, computer specialty in universities. It is a cross-cutting, application, optimality, multi-branch discipline. Operations Research teaching focus on cultivating students' ability of analyzing and solving practical problems. In this paper, we analyze curriculums and teaching mode of" Operational Research ", combined with teaching practice and the realistic needs of society. We carried out a series of innovative initiatives to improve teaching effectiveness of Operational Research, like re-arrangement of teaching content, the choice of teaching methods, the use of multimedia tools, classroom teaching atmosphere and selection of assessment methods etc. Through those attempts, we basically reached the purpose to stimulate students 'interest in learning and to develop students' ability to solve problems. |
