dc.description In the article the problem of self-reflection of the lyrical hero in the poetry of Boris Borisovich Ryzhiy is researched. B. B. Ryzhiy (1974 — 2001) is a Ural poet who lived in Yekaterinburg city. The ambivalence of the lyrical hero is typical for his poetry. On the one hand, the lyrical hero perceives himself as a poet, an intellectual, a high-educated person, but on the other hand, he perceives himself as a hooligan who likes to drink, to fight and to flirt with all the women who surround him. To study the self-reflection process as well as possible, it is necessary to research all the variants of its realization which include the art conception in the author’s reflection context, the lyrical hero fate metaplot as a process (a result) of the self-reflection (on the example of the artistic behavior, the autobiographical myth and the self-nomination) and the “Saint-Petersburg — the province” opposition by which the ambivalence of the lyrical hero is expressed. Purpose of the article: the detection of the self-reflection realization variants in the poetry of B. B. Ryzhiy. Methodology: the combination of the elements of typological, total-system methods of the literary phenomenon analysis. Results: 1. The ambivalence of self-reflection is typical for the lyrical hero in the creation of B. B. Ryzhiy because there are two different origins in his inner world which can be signed as “a Poet” and “a Hooligan”. 2. These two origins in the soul of the lyrical hero do not oppose but complete and enrich each other, so the lyrical hero personality is integral. 3. A great attention in the poetry of B. B. Ryzhiy is given to the self-realization and self-identification of the lyrical hero in the world surrounding him, to the reflection of the personality origins forming processes. Practical implications include the possibility of using the results in the contemporary Russian literature studies and in the general-theoretic literary courses.
