The article deals with a comparison between different national-cultural and linguistic communities to reveal their universal features and ethnospecific peculiarities. The comparison is carried out on the pattern of the speech-behavioural situation of «Advising» in the Modern English and Russian languages. This situation as a semantic formation is one of the constituents of understatement/categorical statement constant. |
