The objective of this research is to analyze the content and methodological and discursive context of the work of Neil Postman, through one of its most important editorial exclamations. The research is consistent with the descriptive documentary form, from the perspective of the History of Education and Social Studies of Science, and his contribution is the approach to the originality of Postman, through the great scientists of the communication. A disciple of Marshall McLuhan, Neil Postman collects, values and renegotiated concepts referred to earlier deterministic views on criticism of the media. He created also the research trend known as the "media ecology", and developed serious criticism of occidental media system, through the example of the United States |
