dc.description As relações sociedade-natureza são contextualizadas a partir das analogias orgânica e mecânica ao foco de uma epistemologia ambiental, frente à crise civilizatória no mundo ocidental; nessa linha, o paradigma da complexidade fundamenta a superação das ambigüidades do desenvolvimento sustentável em prol de uma apropriada sustentabilidade socioambiental e, pois, possibilitando práticas de Educação Ambiental criticamente orientadas por uma nova pedagogia do conhecimento, com implicação de novos saberes e construção de novas relações entre pessoas, sociedade e o meio natural, sob uma Ética da Responsabilidade.<br>Society-nature relations are contextualized from the organismic and mechanical analogies to the focus of an environmental epistemology, on the face of the current western civilization crisis; in that respect, the complexity paradigm ensures overcoming the sustainable development ambiguities in view of a proper socioenvironmental sustainability - thus ensuing Environmental Education practices critically orientated under a new pedagogy of knowledge, which demands both new learnings and new relations among individuals, so as between society and nature, in compliance with a Responsibility Ethics.
