dc.description	En este trabajo se aborda el análisis de la situación del proceso de formación de valores en los estudiantes de ciencias médicas y la influencia de los profesores, así como del resto de los trabajadores de la salud. Partiendo de la relación entre el ser social y la conciencia social se puntualizan los conceptos de principios, valores y convicciones, la importancia de la educación en la formación de valores, las dimensiones del valor y su relación íntima con los principios de la Bioética en el campo de la salud. Se identifican los valores fundamentales del profesional de la salud y la necesidad de desarrollar en los estudiantes la virtud de concatenar dialécticamente dichos valores como la máxima aspiración de nuestra universidad médica. Se abordan los principales problemas que enfrentan las instituciones de educación médica superior para el desarrollo de sus Planes de Trabajo Educativo, entre los cuales se destacan la necesidad de una mayor preparación psicopedagógica de los profesores, la incomprensión del carácter participativo de la labor educativa y la pobre proyección del trabajo educativo desde el currículo, entre los más importantes. Igualmente se analiza el efecto negativo de las manifestaciones de carencia o pérdida de valores entre los trabajadores de la salud sobre el trabajo educativo de los estudiantes, en relación con lo cual operan como currículo oculto. Se enfatiza en la necesidad de articular un sistema integrado de acciones encaminadas a enfrentar ese problema con la participación de todos los factores en las instituciones de salud.<br>In present paper the authors approach the analysis of the situation of value training process in medical sciences students and professor's influence, as well as of remainder of health staff. From the relationship between to be social and the social awareness we specify the concepts of principles, values and convictions; the significance of education in the values training, the value dimensions and its close relationship with the Bioethics principles in the health field. The main values of the health professional are identified, as well as the need to develop in students the ability to link together in a dialectical way such values as the maximal aspiration of our medical university. The major problems confronted by medical higher education institutions for the development of their Educational Work Plans including the need of a great psychoeducational training of professors, the lack of understanding of participatory character of the educational task and the poor projection of educational work from the curriculum among the most important ones. Likewise we analyze the negative effect of manifestations of lack or loss of values among the health staff on the educational task of students in relation to which they work as a hidden curriculum. The need of to articulate a system including actions aimed to confront this problem with the participation of all the factors in health institutions.
