The authors of the paper are teachers at the Department of Informatics and General Technology, at Pécs University. This article presents the methodology of teaching control technology. The presented three main examples show the practical use of controlling types: program control, disturbance monitoring and process control. The used devices are personal computers, the self-made experimental devices are controlled via parallel port. After learning the theoretical background – the programming of lights, the one character LED display, the 7-segment display panel, the DC motor, the stepper motor and the controlling of traffic lights, water pump, fire engine robot etc. make the subject more interesting and easy to understand. |
