dc.description |
In 2005 the Higher Education Academy Engineering Subject Centre granted a Teaching Award for a 24-lecture course (taught to classes of approximately 200 second-year students), Fluid Mechanics with Historical Perspective. This paper describes how the great and colourful history of engineering has been used to help stimulate extra interest in a mathematically-based subject within the restrictions of the traditional undergraduate lecture. |
