dc.description
Abstract
Taking into account specific aspects, we pursue the relationship between Pedagogy (understood as the science of education and situated in the field of Humanities) and childhood (understood as the object of this science) in engendering of Modernity. Here we discuss, then, the “capture” of childhood by the pedagogical knowledge with its scientific status, in the emergence of the sciences of human. We also understand that modern education – with its school model based on disciplinary techniques and control – makes the school a laboratory for Pedagogy. In a sense, we question how the child enters the scene opened by the humanities under the perspective of pedagogy, so what is said today about the child and the own story of child ends up being markedly characterized by the conception of a timeless childhood, naive and without voice.
