dc.description The purpose of this paper is to develop and analyze a didactic sequence for teaching and learning of evidence and arguments, intended for students 9. Year of elementary school, using a computational tool. The entire experiment was developed under the project argumentation and proof in school mathematics (AProvaME), which aims to build a map on the concepts of argumentation and evidence of students of the State of Paulo. The preparation sequence was inspired by the questionnaire Algebra Project A ProvaME reasoned and analyzed from the perspective of classification of evidence Balacheff (1988), the ideas related to theroles and functions of the evidence of De Villiers (2001) and the suggestions made in the National Curriculum.
