dc.description	<p align="justify">Existe una sensibilidad creciente que pone en el banco de los acusados a la “educación tradicional”, y especialmente a las dificultades en la transmisión intergeneracional de los contenidos culturales; el rol docente forma parte importante de este problema. Afortunadamente estamos perdiendo “realidad autoritaria” en la educación, creemos, al igual que Vattimo, que esta situación fortalece la autonomía de los “nuevos”; pero es la pérdida de una autoridad entendida como abuso e irrupción ilegítima del poder, según se expresa en la sensibilidad de amplias capas de la población del Cono Sur, especialmente, después de los regímenes dictatoriales. Pero a partir de los aportes del pensamiento de Arendt, somos conscientes que en todo acto educativo es necesario que haya una autoridad para garantizar la transmisión a las futuras generaciones de los tesoros heredados del pasado; una aceptación no coactiva entre las partes que posibilite comunicar la experiencia. Y para esto hay que profundizar en lo que la educación es, según nos revela su propia constitución.<p><b>Abstract</b><p>There exists a growing sensitivity which questions “traditional education”, and the difficulties surrounding the intergenerational transmission of cultural contents in particular; the role of the teacher is an important element of this issue. Fortunately we are losing “authoritarian reality” in education, and I go along Vattimo in that the situation strengthens the autonomy of “the new”, but it is the loss of an authority understood as abuse and illegitimate outbreak of power, as expressed by the sensitivity of broad amounts of the populations of the South Cone, especially after the dictatiorial regimes. But from the contribution of Arendt’s thought, we are aware that in all educational act there is a need for an authority to guarantee the transmission of the inherited treasures of the past to the future generations; a non-enforced acceptation between the parts that makes communicating the experience possible. In order to do this we have to go deep to develop what education really is, as revealed by its own constitution.
