EDUCACIÓN GEOGRÁFICA Y CIUDADANÍA EN PORTUGAL: DE LOS DISCURSOS A LA PRÁCTICA EN LOS CENTROS ESCOLARES

dc.description	<p>RESUMEN:</p><p>La educación geográfica vive actualmente en Portugal tiempos de profundos cambios. Los planes de actuación afectan a todos los niveles de la enseñanza, de la escolarización básica a la formación universitaria. Algunas alteraciones son voluntarias, materializan un designio de la política educativa nacional para reconciliarse con las más modernas referencias en la innovación pedagógica y curricular, y promover una educación comprometida con la ciudadanía activa. Otras sin embargo, están forzadas, suceden no porque se crea en su utilidad sino porque es necesario responder a los imperativos de la Declaración de Bolonia. Adonde nos va a reconducir este período reformista no se sabe con seguridad. En un ambiente condicionado por el conservadurismo y la inercia, poblado de equívocos, paradojas y contradicciones, estas reformas corren el riesgo de nacer y morir en los decretos que las instituyen.</p><p>PALABRAS-CLAVE: Educación geográfica; formación de profesores; alfabetización geográfica; educación para la ciudadanía; comunidades de aprendizaje.</p><p> </p><p>ABSTRACT:</p><p>In Portugal the geographic education is presently going through profound changes. The changes touch all levels of education, from primary school to the university level. Some changes are voluntary. They are a design of the Portuguese educational policy to reconcile with the most modern references in the pedagogical and curricular innovation, as well as to encourage education towards active citizenship. Other changes, however, are forced. They become true not because we believe in their usefulness but rather because it is necessary to answer to the imperatives of the Bologna Declaration. It is uncertain where this reformist period will take us. In an environment characterized by conservative attitudes and inertia, full of mistakes, paradoxes and contradictions, these reforms run the risk of, in the practice, being born and die in the decrees that institute them.</p><p>KEYWORDS: Geography education, teacher training, geographical literacy, citizenship education, learning communities.</p><p> </p><p>RÉSUMÉ:</p><p>Éducation géographique et citoyenneté au Portugal: Du discours à la pratique dans les écoles - L’éducation géographique vie actuellement au Portugal une période de profond changement. Les propositions touchent tous les niveaux d’enseignement, de l’école primaire à la formation universitaire. Certains changements sont volontaires, montrant une détermination de la politique éducative national de se réconcilier avec les références les plus modernes en terme d’innovation pédagogique, ainsi que de promouvoir une éducation plus citoyenne. D’autres changements, par contre, sont forcés. Ils ont lieu non parce que l’on croit en leurs utilités mais parce qu’il est nécessaire de répondre aux prérogatives de la Déclaration de Bologne. Où va nous mener cette période de réforme ? Nous ne le savons pas exactement. Dans une époque, dominée par le conservatisme et l’inertie, peuplée d’équivoques, de paradoxes et de contradictions, ces réformes courent le risque de naître et de mourir dans les décrets qui les instituent.</p><p>MOTS CLÉ: Education géographique, formation des professeurs, literacie géographique, éducation pour la citoyenneté, communautés d’apprentissages.</p>
