Espacio y honra en “La fuerza de la sangre” y “El celoso extremeño”.

dc.description	Resumen: En las Novelas ejemplares, Cervantes cuestiona algunos de los paradigmas sociales más centrales del Siglo de Oro español, subvirtiendo sus premisas y haciendo visibles los esqueletos de su construcción. Este proceso de divulgación tiene el fin de hacer patentes los mecanismos complicados de un concepto tan intrínsicamente encerrado en la conciencia colectiva de la época como el de la honra. Mientras que en sus obras el dramaturgo Lope de Vega opta por reforzar los cimientos de este concepto por medio de la puesta en escena de una ideología conservadora que sutura casi perfectamente las cicatrices de su práctica, Cervantes, en cambio, no intenta ocultar la base de sus raíces. Es sobre todo en La fuerza de la sangre y El celoso extremeño donde se muestra la artificialidad misma del concepto por su curiosa espacialización. Es decir, dentro de estas novelas, la honra opera según su ubicación espacial y sus connotaciones cambian dependiendo del espacio de los acontecimientos de los relatos. Esta fragmentación de un concepto supuestamente unido y totalizador lo desestabiliza y deja la noción de la honra completamente subvertida. Mientras que La fuerza de la sangre demuestra una marcada diferencia entre la honra pública y la honra privada a través de la meticulosa construcción de los varios entornos del relato, El celoso extremeño pone de relieve que en realidad el único espacio de la honra es el de la imaginación. La inestabilidad y el carácter efímero de la honra llegan a ser el centro de las ficciones, cuestionando así la ideología dominante estabilizadora que generalmente tenía la honra como uno de sus epicentros más fuertes.Summary: In his Novelas ejemplares, Cervantes questions some of the most important social paradigms of the Spanish Golden Age, subverting their premises and making visible the framework of their construction. In the end, this process of revelation sheds much light on the complicated mechanisms of honra, a concept deeply rooted in the collective consciousness of the day. While Lope de Vega elected to reinforce the foundation of this notion through the staging of a conservative ideology that almost perfectly hides the sutures of the practice of honra, Cervantes never attempted to occult its roots. Especially in La fuerza de la sangre and El celoso extremeño, Cervantes shows the artificiality of the concept of honra through a curious spatialization. Within these novellas, honra functions according to its spatial location and its connotations change depending on the space in which events take place within the story. The fragmentation of a supposedly unified and totalizing concept destabilizes and subverts the idea of honra. While La fuerza de la sangre shows a marked difference between public honor and private honor through the meticulous construction of the different spaces of the story, El celoso extremeño shows that honra can truly only exist in the space of our imagination. Both the instability and the transitory nature of honra become the center of Cervantes’s fictions, thereby questioning the dominant stabilizing ideology in which honra played a central role.
