Purpose: to analyse the main theoretical approaches to studying of youth subcultures from the point of view of sociology, psychology, anthropology and others. Methodology: in article were used different methods such as analysis and synthesis, and also a method of systematization of a material. These methods are based on the principles of objectivity and scientific character. Results: presents the main approaches to studying of youth subcultures. These main approaches include the following: synergetic, cognitive, class and race approaches and many others. Considers the history of origin of subculture of skinheads within the framework of analysis of a class approach, and also describes the style of Teddy Boys as youth subculture on purpose to analysis of the theory of symbolism. Practical implications: article represents scientific interest for experts in area of sociology and social work as the considered approaches to analysis of youth subcultures promote the detailed description of the studied phenomenon. |
