Natural or man-caused disasters lead us to question the environmental consciousness of human beings. This is a tool for society to start acquiring values, behavior, attitude and lifestyle to achieve a balanced environment, becoming an important factor in all educational areas.Students must primarily have an environmental knowledge base about:a).- The environmental reality. b). - An understanding of social, historical and ecological processes c). - The development of environmentally sensitivity d). - The search for available solutions and means of action.In Mexico, as well as in most Latin American countries, environmental education has been driven very slowly compared with other countries. In H. Matamoros Tamaulipas began with the environmental culture in 1999, specifically called "water culture". This paper aims to examine the environmental consciousness of the students of Basic nursing career, and find the social component that has greater environmental awareness. |
