dc.description This article proposes a conception for Mathematical Modeling that you want to comprise various possibilities by use and application in the classroom. We do this from some forms of conceive and modeling materialize within the Mathematics Education and understanding of how this process has been, throughout the history of mathematics, being used and consolidated in view of the construction of knowledge and problemsolving. Without discard the importance of a conception to the process, we finish that, more important than defining, we may find ways to organize and conduct activities of Modeling in school contexts.&#13; &#13; Keyword: Mathematical Modeling, conception e possibilities.<br>Este artigo propõe uma concepção para Modelagem Matemática que pretende englobar várias possibilidades de uso e aplicação em sala de aula. Fazemos isso a partir de algumas formas de conceber e materializar Modelagem no âmbito da Educação Matemática e da compreensão de como esse processo foi, ao longo da História da Matemática, sendo usado e consolidado na perspectiva da construção de conhecimento e da resolução de problemas. Sem descartar a importância de uma concepção para o processo, concluímos que, mais importante do que definir, talvez seja descobrir formas de organizar e conduzir atividades de Modelagem em contextos escolares.&#13; &#13; Palavras-Chave: Modelagem Matemática, concepção e possibilidades.
