dc.description O texto aborda elementos do projeto Iluminista e sua influência na educação do corpo, notadamente os aspectos da civilidade e a cultura do corpo no ideário da pedagogia moderna, considerando a perspectiva da instrumentalidade. Apontamos para possíveis caminhos das relações entre corpo e educação na contemporaneidade, com base em uma fenomenologia do corpo e sua relação com os processos cognitivos. Por fim, apresentamos indicadores para pensar o conhecimento do corpo na educação, partindo de reflexões sobre a educação do corpo e a organização do conhecimento no currículo.<br>This paper brings forth elements of the Enligthment project and their influence on body education, mainly the aspects of politeness and body's culture, in the modern pedagogy's ideas, considering the perspective of instrumentality. From a phenomenology of the body and its relation with the cognitive processes, we point out possible paths for the relations between body and education in the present times. Finally, we present indicators to think the knowledge of body in education based on reflections upon body education and the organization of knowledge in curricula.
