dc.description Purpose To reveal the most acceptable forms of development of the modern multiethnic region. Methodology The analysis of secondary information (including data of population censuses) and materials of the author's sociological measurement carried out in the form of questionnaire of various cultural groups representatives in Nizhny Novgorod Region were used in the work. Results In modern conditions the integration idea combining cultural differentiation and rapprochement becomes a reference point for the organization of interethnic interaction in the multi-ethnic region. Practical implications management of the public relations in sphere of intercultural contact.
