dc.description	Resumen:En el presente ensayo se aborda el tema de la anorexia como un síntoma psicológico, que afecta, fundamentalmente, a las mujeres adolescentes; de ahí que el propósito es brindar una manera distinta de entenderlo, tratando de ir más allá de los aspectos médicos, que sin lugar a dudas, también están puestos en juego. Con base en mi práctica clínica, elaboro algunas conclusiones sobre la anorexia como síntoma, desde una perspectiva psicoanalítica, a pesar de lo particular que es cada caso. Es pertinente destacar algunos rasgos de este síntoma que parecen estar presentes en cada una de las jóvenes que lo padecen. Se concluye que, para estas jóvenes, la forma de romper con el Ideal de los otros es su síntoma; a través de este encuentran una forma de romper con la madre.Abstract:This essay deals with the theme of anorexia as a psychology symptom, which affects, fundamentally, adolescent women; from there the intention is to offer a distinct way of understanding it, trying to go beyond medical aspects which are, without a doubt, also at play. With a base in clinical practice, I elaborate upon some conclusions about anorexia as a symptom, from a psychoanalytical perspective, even though every case is unique. It is appropriate to emphasize some characteristics of this symptom that appear to be present in every one of the youth that suffered from it. It is concluded that, for these youth, the way to break with the Ideal of others is their symptom; through this they find a way to break with a mother.
