dc.description Purpose. The article is aimed at studying the influence of similarity of the selfimage and the image of close people on life satisfaction in old age. This problem is insufficiently investigated, but is especially urgent nowadays. Methods of research: a method of the theoretical analysis; methods of data processing: criterion ф Fisher, correlation analysis Спирмен, The factorial analysis, Tests of Between-Subjects Effects. Results. The whole life satisfaction is the important component of life satisfaction and is interrelated to the basic vital needs, conditions of life, self-estimation of health. The elderly people, having similarity of images on system of values, are satisfied with a life in the greater degree as against who has no this similarity. The factor «similarity of images» is expressed and influences a level of life satisfaction in old age. Practical implications. Results of research can be used for increase a life satisfaction in old age, form a positive self-image and build confidential attitudes with dose people.
