dc.description	The purpose of the study is to identify the nature of the administrative reform, its stages, trends, and to estimate these issues in the activities of public administration at the regional level (Ulyanovsk region). The general principles of systemic analysis of social and political processes were used as the methodological basis of the study. Results: We have detected the major stages, trends and characteristics of the administrative reform in the Ulyanovsk region, analyzed the results of the administrative state reform in the region and its most problematic areas. Significance of the work: The theoretical significance of this work is to summarize the empirical and analytical material to create a complete picture of the development directions of the public administration reform in modern Russia and the characteristics of its implementation at the regional level. In practical terms, the conclusions we got can be used to develop the future programs of the reforming system of the public administration of regional authorities.
