dc.description The article deals with the author's strategy of the assumption in the metatext of the German biographic discourse within intertextuality theory. The purpose is to study metatext as an integral part of text semantic structure, as an author's strategy and as author’s comment on the introduced inclusions. The author's strategy of the assumption is expressed explicitly or implicitly by various lexical and grammatical and pragmo-syntactic means.
