dc.description	Este artigo apresenta análises tecidas quanto às especificidades do processo de trabalho na Estratégia de Saúde da Família (ESF) no município de Santa Cruz do Sul/RS. Este é um recorte da pesquisa “Saúde da Família: um olhar sobre a estratégia no município de Santa Cruz do Sul” (2007-2008), desenvolvida com o apoio da Universidade de Santa Cruz do Sul, em parceria com a Secretaria Municipal de Saúde. Pela trajetória qualitativa, foram realizadas entrevistas com os profissionais de saúde que atuam na ESF, sendo estas analisadas à luz do método de Análise de Conteúdo. Evidenciou-se dificuldade de estabelecimento de um plano de ação em comum entre os profissionais de saúde que compõem as equipes de saúde da família e entre essas equipes e suas populações adstritas; diferenças culturais marcam a inter-relação profissional – comunidade. Em relação ao processo de trabalho, confirmou-se a importância de escutar o que os profissionais de saúde estão construindo de saberes no cotidiano do serviço, pois conseguem esclarecer possibilidades e limites dessa estratégia, relacionando-os às características da população de cada território, à gestão municipal da saúde, às condições de trabalho (que ainda são muito diversas de uma unidade de saúde para outra) e à identificação dos profissionais com a proposta da ESF. Além disso, evidenciam que o trabalho em saúde segue marcado por lógicas vigentes na sociedade. <br> This article features analyses focused on the specificities of the working process at the Family Health Strategy (FHS) in the county of Santa Cruz do Sul/RS. This is an excerpt from the research “Family Health: a look on the strategy in the county of Santa Cruz do Sul” (2007-2008), developed with the support of the University of Santa Cruz do Sul jointly with the Municipal Health Department. Its qualitative trajectory includes interviews with health professionals who work for ESF, and they were analyzed in light of the Content Analysis method. There was evidence of the difficulty in establishing a common action plan among the health professionals that make up the family health teams and between these teams and their ascribed populations; cultural differences mark the professional – community interrelation. With regard to the work process, there was a confirmation of the importance to paying heed to what the health professionals are building in terms of knowledge in their routine services, as they manage to clarify possibilities and limits in this strategy, relating them to the characteristics of the population of each territory, to municipal health management, work conditions, which are still very diverse from one health unit to the other, and to the identification of the professionals under the ESF proposal. In addition, they are evidence of the fact that health work continues to bear the logics in force in society.
