dc.description Na França, a sociologia de Pierre Bourdieu foi quer detestada e ignorada quer venerada, duas atitudes que não condizem com uma vida científica saudável, a qual requer uma crítica argumentada e racional. Agora que Pierre Bourdieu morreu, parece urgente pensar os prolongamentos críticos de sua obra de modo a manter viva a herança científica que ele nos legou. Três continuações são evocadas aqui: a primeira diz respeito à sua concepção do trabalho intelectual; a segunda, à sua teoria "disposicionalista" da ação (teoria do habitus); e a terceira, ao modo como pensava a diferenciação social (teoria dos campos).<br>In France, Pierre Bourdieu's sociology has either been detested and ignored or venerated. Both attitudes are not suited to a healthy scientific life, which requires the recourse to argued and rational critic. Just as Pierre Bourdieu died, it seems urgent to think the critical continuations of his work in order to keep alive the scientific heritage he has left us. Three continuations are evoked here: the first one concerns his conception of intellectual work, the second one his dispositionalist theory of action (habitus theory) and the third one the way he thinks social differentiation (field theory).
