dc.description The article discusses the communicative situations of Berlin dialect usage by the representatives of different social strata; it is an insight into the precise historical period – six years after the unification of Germany. The starting point for the description and evaluation is interesting: it is the position of the writer-narrator who lives in Munich (a “foreigner”) and the position of the author-writer who lives both in Munich and Berlin (somewhat already a “native”).
