dc.description	Se describe el diseño de un Curso a Distancia con el contenido de la unidad modular de "Salud de la Población", que se desarrolla en forma presencial en la maestría de Informática en Salud, en el Centro de Cibernética Aplicada a la Medicina (CECAM). El diseño se sustentó en las tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones, mediante las facilidades que brindan los formatos HTML, con la utilización del correo electrónico. La unidad modular, la integran 3 temas, ajustados y modificados, para ejecutarse en procesos docentes de actualización enfocados a la Salud Pública. En el trabajo se detalla el diseño informático de la unidad modular a partir de la adaptación de contenidos para la modalidad a distancia. Al concluirse este trabajo, quedó diseñado un curso a distancia, bajo las herramientas tecnológicas, que nos ofrece la Macromedia Dreamweaver 4, debido a las facilidades que nos proporciona, para diseñar sobre páginas web. El curso ya está siendo usado en la Maestría de Informática en Salud, con buenos resultados expresados por los coordinadores de la Unidad Modular.<br>This paper described the design of a distance learning course covering the contents of the face-to-face modular unit called "Population health" that is part of the master's course on health informatics held at the Center of Applied Cybernetics in Medicine. The design was supported on the information and communication technologies through the facilities that the HTML formats and the e-mail service provide. The modular unit includes three topics, which have been adjusted and modified so as to be implemented in updating processes centered on public health. The paper also detailed the informatic design of the module to adapt the contents to the distance learning modality. Finally, a distance learning course was designed with the support of technological tools provided by Macromedia Dreamweaver 4, due to the facilities for design on Web pages. This course is being successfully used in the master´s course on health informatics with good results, according to the opinions of the module´s coordinators.
