Description:
An organisation of an education in military universities encounters some practical difficulties that can be resolved by introducing modern pedagogical technologies. This paper analyses realisational aspects of concentrated education technology while teaching specialised disciplines in a military university. Concentrated education implies a continuous study of a single discipline during several working days or weeks. The results of the performed pedagogical experiment on the introduction of the concentrated education in teaching special disciplines to cadets of a military university are presented in this paper. The results are presented in the form of set of knowledge and skills, which act as components of professional competences. The readings of the results have been performed both immediately after finishing the course, and also half a year later, in order to analyse the level of “residual” knowledge. Based on the results presented in the paper, a conclusion has been made on a potential use of concentrated education as an effective tool in forming professional competences of future officers.
