The article is devoted to researching of an actual problem about foreign-languaged education (at all hierarchical levels) in conditionals of exponential development of information space. The main characteristics of information space are globalization, informatization, technologization, cross-cultural communication. Exactly multiplicity of interacting languages and cultures, multiplicity of texts and textual sizes circulating in global information space and also new forms of mediated communication determine forming of new quality, mediacompetence of the secondary language personality, that is a characteristic encouraging functioning in integrated world information space. Theoretical and experiential researching of the author for many years has allowed to make conclusion that a foreign language can’t stand aside from the solution of this common pedagogical task.
