It is considered as a theoretical reference Baudrillard in his explanations about the present society. It is discussed the way the knowledges and the practices of a librarian are in this society. It is questioned what is called the society of information that has been taken by the Brazilian librarians.Brazilian as a reality of which everybody is, indistinctly, a participant, when besides this figures a society of non-information. It is proposed some kind of education to the librarian that transcends the unilteral and unique discourse, it means, from this society to the learning society.
