Pourtant, à la réflexion, ce type de travail peut en fait avoir un impact positif sur tout le comportement cognitif et métadidactique de l’apprenant en langues.<br>Working on humour with foreign language learners, trying to understand why other people often laugh for reasons one does not understand, is perhaps one of the best ways to study those intercultural differences that provide the pith and marrow of all relations with “foreign” cultures. Humour is a fragile thing that can hardly resist explanations. It often comes from the strange conjunction of osé and subtle details, of regular and unconventional attitudes, of anticipated and unexpected outcomes. Still, when you look at it closely, this kind of work may help the foreign language learner in all his/her cognitive and metadidactic processes.
