Description:
LHC-Large Hadron Collider (CERN - European Organization for Nuclear Research) continues increasing its beam intensity, achieving its target for 2011 a little before the middle of the year in the general-purpose detectors, ATLAS and CMS. At the same time, LHCb and ALICE are well on the way to achieve their respective goals by the end of thisyear. As it is well known, this impressive experiment try to answer some of the most important questions in Physics: What is the origin of mass? What is 96% of the universe made of? Why is there no more antimatter? What was matter like within the first second of the Universe’s life? The aim of this paper is to introduce a few simple physical calculations about some magnetic phenomena that took place in detector ALICE, by using the extra motivation learn that this experiment and specific detector can offer in secondary classroom.
