Description:
In this study, the effect of constructivist theory on achievement of science teacher 1.grade students to understand of metal and nonmetal subject in chemistry courses has been investigated. The students were divided into two groups; experimental (40) and control (40). Before application, both group received 25 multiple-choicequestionnaires pre-test. According to the results of pro-test there was no difference between the control and experimental groups (t=0.910; p=0.365). After the constructivist teaching method, post-test has been applied for both groups. The results of the post-test showed that the students, who received constructivist method were more successfully than control group (t=15.318; p=0.000).
