This article begins with a discussion of how the semantic content are structured in media discourse of political violence at this juncture, which is the link with the military as a political actor, statement dominated by the masculine gender and the process of masculinization of power of violence as a means, and television as a vehicle Emphasizing on the imaginary it is intended to deconstruct the imagery of war which legitimizes the masculinization of power and imposes social representations of men in the discourse of television news, that mediate the way we resolve political conflicts in Venezuela. From this approach should raise critical reflection and concrete alternatives in semantic content in televised speeches allowing to intervene these symbolic forms, full of shared meanings and common sense, to promote a culture of peace.
