It is showed the modernizing impulses of the City of Maracay, within the policy of import substitution that had begun in the country after the Second World War. The planning of the industrial area was done by private construction through contracts signed with the Municipality, which in turn promoted campaigns to attract national and foreign direct investment (FDI), offering various productive incentives such as exemption taxes and land at low prices.
