La presente investigación se enmarca en el paradigma de investigación total, cuyo objetivo es realizar un diagnóstico descriptivo del perfil valórico en estudiantes de inicio de la Carrera de Obstetricia y Puericultura, año 2002, y a la vez profundizar en la comprensión del mismo, desde la perspectiva de los propios alumnos. Numerosos autores opinan que aún es escaso el conocimiento existente acerca de la dotación valórica que poseen los estudiantes que ingresan a la educación superior, y se considera relevante aportar al estudio empírico sobre el tema.
