Resumen:El artículo surgió de la investigación “La práctica pedagógica de la expresión artística en los niveles de VI y VII Nivel de la Educación General Básica”, realizada en el Instituto de Investigación en Educación (INIE) de la Universidad de Costa Rica, durante los años 2006, 2007 y 2008. Participaron, de manera voluntaria, docentes que imparten lecciones en educación primaria y secundaria y que desean incorporar a su labor experiencias de integración curricular. Se hizo referencia a la fundamentación de una práctica pedagógica. Lametodología fue organizada mediante “fases” que facilitaron espacios reflexivos y favorecieron la valoración del trabajo docente mediante el enfoque cualitativo. Además, se mostraron algunos planeamientos de integración curricular que surgieron de las experiencias que la población participante lleva a la práctica en los centros educativos. Por último, pretendo que el texto se convierta en un recurso didáctico que facilite la planificación de metodologías de integración curricular, entrelazando las artes plásticas a otros contenidos programáticos, situación que contribuye al logro de aprendizajes significativos y, en consecuencia, al desarrollo integral de la población estudiantil.Abstract: This article comes from a research work called “La práctica pedagógica de la expresión artística en los niveles de VI y VII Nivel de la Educación General Básica” (Pedagogic Practice of the Fine Arts in Levels VI and VII in General Basic Education), carried out in the Instituto de Investigación en Educación, INIE (Institute for Research on Education) o f the University of Costa Rica, during the years 2006, 2007 and 2008. Voluntary primary and secondary school teachers, who wanted to add curriculum integration experiences to their labor, took part in this research. It also refers to the making of a pedagogic practice's foundations. The methodology was organized through 'phases' that allowed spaces for thought and favored the appraisal of the teachers' work from a qualitative perspective. Some curricular integration plans are included too; these plans arise from the experiences practiced by the school population. Finally, the author intends to make this text a teaching resource that helps to plan curricular integration methodologies while joining the fine arts to other program contents; which contributes to the achievement of significant learning, and therefore, to the integral development of the student population.
