In this article analysis of main stages of development of computer-based intelligent educational systems in relation to approaches of knowledge simulation is proposed. Current stage of knowledge-based computer systems application is described and perspectives of future development are revealed.<br>У статті наведено аналіз основних етапів розвитку засобів навчання з елементами штучного інтелекту, а також відповідних їм підходів до моделювання знання. Виявлено системні особливості сучасного стану впровадження засобів навчання, що ґрунтуються на знаннях, тенденції їх розвитку та застосування.
