The adoption of the Russian education system of credit-modular model that is born abroad, necessarily requires its methodological adaptation to Russian theoretical and practical foundations of education. In connection with this study is to attempt to form adapted to the Russian education model as an example of modular training module teaching general physics at the university. The study identified based on literature review strengths and weaknesses of the content of the module definition and modular training in general. Held its adaptation to the fundamental provisions of the Russian education and articulated definition of a module as a unit of educational system. The implementation of the appropriate definition of the model unit in learning physics in the first year of university is shows in this article. Field of application of the results applies to educational institutions from secondary to university levels.
